Jeffrey R. German

Vice President of Managed Care for Women's and Children's Health

Mr. German has served as Vice President of Managed Care since December 2006. In this role, he is responsible for the development and execution of managed care strategies for Matria Women’s and Children’s Health division, as well as leading the Regional Managed Care Directors.

Mr. German has extensive experience in the medical industry, including building and managing successful sales teams in both the medical sales and managed care arenas. He has most recently held the position of executive director, sales and managed markets for Alimera Sciences, a start-up specialty pharmaceutical company. While at Alimera Sciences, Mr. German led the building of the sales organization and was responsible for the development of the managed care team. Prior to Alimera Sciences, Mr. German was employed for 11 years by Novartis Ophthtalmics, where he held the position of executive director, U. S. Health Systems and Government Relations. In his Novartis role, he provided direct management oversight of contracting, reimbursement and the field managed care team.

Mr. German received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the State University College at Oswego.
